I'm an Adult Now?
That realization came to me the day my Dad passed away around Easter (yes my Blogcation, wasn’t really a vacation it was me helping out my Mum (as best I could) to deal with my Dad’s passing). I still haven’t really come to grips or feel comfortable writing about this subject, but the N.C.F.B.A. did convince me that when I did, it would be OK, as long as I was honest (thanks Preet,Michael James, Canadian Capitalist, Larry Mac and My Own Advisor).
An Easter Story: The Leather Coat
Sometimes some interesting stories happen around me that I like passing on in this forum. I am recounting this story to show that for all the complaining about the youth, I think the world will be in good hands when we old farts finally move on. On Ash Wednesday this year, our Church ran its normal activity day (where the kids come and learn about Lent, Ash Wednesday and Easter), and a few other parishes also participated (my wife helps run these).
Happy Easter and Sunday's Best
This day is the beginning of it all for the Christian Faith. Strangely Christmas seems to be a more celebrated holiday, but Good Friday andEaster Sunday are the alpha and omega for the Christian Faith. Without Easter Sunday, there really isn’t Christianity (just as there isn’t a Faith without Good Friday as well).
Enjoy the feast and the celebration of the faith. Feast and enjoy, and revel in new beginnings.
Good Friday
It’s Good Friday, drop by Church and say hi.

Easter: A New Beginning
For those of my regular readers I celebrate Easter fervently and try to take advantage of the spiritual beginning to try and renew things in my life as well. A few years back my wife and I lost a great deal of weight, and we started on Easter and we have done various other things in our lives where renewal was the theme and Easter was the starting point.
Muscular Loonie for Easter
The Canadian Dollar now stands at about $1.05 U.S., making it as strong as it has been in the past few years, so what does that really mean? Investors are scared of the U.S. national Debt, for one, and Canada’s commodity laden economy looks attractive to investors as well.
So how shall we celebrate this strong Loonie?
